- Funeral services for Bobby Dean Chandler, 88, of Florien, LA, will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Bro. Matt Warren and Bro. Wayne Chance officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
- Nicoletta Francesca "Nikki" Menard, passed away March 29, 2026, in Abbeville. Funeral services will be held today at Anacoco United Pentecostal Church beginning at two o'clock PM followed by burial at Farris Cemetery.
- Father Michael Champagne will officiate Anna Maria Frederick's Catholic Rite of Burial Committal at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 1:30 PM.
- David Lynn Cornwell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 69. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Boxwood Church of Christ, with a public visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Earl Franks and Malcolm Franks willofficiate the service. Following the service, David will be laid to rest at Bivens Cemetery.
- Evelyn Louise McClinton, 71, of DeRidder, LA, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026. Visitation will be Saturday, April 11 from 9-11am at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 11 at 11am at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Interment will be at Beauregard Cemetery. Rev. Kantonio Brownlee will officiate.
- Mary Nell "Tootsie" Harding, 91, of Leesville,Louisiana, passed from this life on April 7, 2026, at The Woodlands Healthcare Center in Leesville. A wake for Tootsie will be held Saturday, April 11th at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Leesville, Louisiana from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at noon. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Adam Travis at 1:00 p.m. Following the Mass, burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery in Zwolle, Louisiana.
- William Howard Fowler, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, in Deridder, Louisiana, at the age of 69. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, in the Chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home at 2:00pm. Pastor Eddie Tilley will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday at Myers Colonial Funeral Home from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
- Vroni Lynn Thornock (Gautsche), who passed peacefully March 6, 2026, in Leesville, Louisiana, at the age of 79. A memorial service for Vroni will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Jeane's in Leesville from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.
