Mr. Simon Mewborn, age 48, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at his residence. A Celebration of Life service is pending with details to be announced later. Visitation for Alvin Kohatha Newton will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas. Funeral services are set for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel.
