TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Visitors at the Caldwell Zoo called the eclipse “awe-inspiring.” Around 1,300 people watched the total solar eclipse from the zoo, and crowds cheered from multiple animal exhibits. We spoke with people from across Texas and even some who came from out of state. Zoo officials did say some animals showed different behavior, with nocturnal animals coming out to play, and others heading to their night shelters.
