KJAS News partner KFDM in Beaumont is reporting that a man from Woodville has been shot and killed and his alleged assailant has been arrested following an incident that occurred on Friday evening in Silsbee. According to the report, deputies from the Hardin County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to a home at 2855 Holly Hill Drive near Silsbee, shortly after 9:00 when it was reported that a shooting had occurred and arrived to find 33 year old Granville Dennis Jr. dead. Officers said it appeared he had died from a gunshot wound. Based on information obtained in an investigation of the incident, officers later said that Amy Sutton, 30 of Silsbee, had been arrested and charged with the crime. Sutton was taken to the Hardin County Jail in Kountze, where she was officially arraigned by Hardin County Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Melissa Minton who set her bond at $750,000 and at last word, Sutton remained in jail. So far, officers have not released any information regarding an alleged motive for the shooting.
