Woodville man died after a Polk County motorcycle crash

Polk County Today is reporting that a Woodville man has died following a motorcycle crash near Livingston. The crash occurred Saturday on the northbound lanes of Highway 59.

According to the report, 44-year-old Anthony Holder, of Woodville, was riding a motorcycle northbound as 61-year-old Rodney McDaniel, of Livingston, was driving a 2013 Nissan Sentra southbound. The report said McDaniel turned in front of Holder and the motorcycle hit the car.

Holder, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained a very serious head injury and he was flown by medical helicopter to a Houston hospital where he died.

Meanwhile, the report said McDaniel is facing possible criminal charges.
