HARRISON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - An investigation is ongoing after a woman who was an inmate at the Harrison County Jail died Sunday, a day after being booked in.
According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Alicia Stubenrauch, 35, of Karnack, died just after 4:20 p.m. after she was taken to a Marshall hospital.
Stubenrauch was booked into the jail Saturday on a charge of tampering with evidence.
The Texas Rangers are investigating, and her cause of death is still pending.
The sheriff’s office said a press conference on her death will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
