Jasper Police Chief Gerald Hall says an arrest warrant has been issued for a former Brookshire Brothers employee for ongoing thefts. Hall says the suspect remains at-large. According to a report filed by the investigating officer, the crimes were discovered by Brookshire Brothers management and the amount of money stolen was as much as $700.00. The report also said the crimes began in October of 2023, and they were conducted in such a fashion that innocent employees were being blamed for them. The warrant is for Theft by Deception and is a Class B Misdemeanor. The name of the employee has not been released pending arrest and formal charges at arraignment.
