Newton County deputies along with the U.S. Marshal’s Service captured a wanted fugitive early Thursday morning in a house on County Road 2110 in Burkeville.
According to Sheriff Colton Havard, Casey Edward Baker had multiple felony warrants out of Angelina and Walker Counties, which included charges of Indecency with a Child and Failure to Appear in Court on a charge of Aggravated Assault-Family Violence.
Havard said Baker had faked his own disappearance and had himself reported as missing in Walker County and had been using alias names.
