Two men walking in the middle of a busy highway resulted in one of them going to jail after Jasper Police say they found him with methamphetamine. A report filed by Officer Tom Smith said that on the afternoon of Monday, September 25th, he saw the men walking down the middle of Highway 190, and he then stepped out on the pair on Nelson Street near Elijah’s Café. The report said 34-year-old Richard Maiden, of Kirbyville, was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
