ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Authorities are asking for help identifying a masked man who was caught on camera robing a store at gunpoint in Angelina County.
According to Crime Stoppers, Angelina County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an aggravated robbery call at a game room and vape shop in the 7000 block of Highway 69 North at 3:18 a.m. on March 13.
Security camera video released by Crime Stoppers shows a masked man sauntering into the store holding a gun and a cowboy hat. He points the gun at the store employee and secures his mask before putting the cowboy hat on. The store employee hands over a bag filled with an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect leaves.
Crime Stoppers said the suspect is a white man about 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 with a thin build and green eyes. He was wearing a white or cream-colored mask covering his entire head and face. He was wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt with white striping on the back near the neck. He appears to have been wearing skinny jeans, white gloves, flip-flops with white socks and a cowboy hat.
Authorities said he walked to the store on Highway 69 from the direction of Central Elementary School. When he left the scene, he ran south on Highway 69 in the direction of Lufkin State Supported Living. Crime Stoppers said it is unknown whether he had a vehicle in the area, was picked up or continued on foot.
