HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - One person has died and another is injured after a vehicle hit a curve too fast, driving off the road and into a tree.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to the wreck on FM 317, west of FM 1803, around 2:06 a.m., according to a release.
In a preliminary investigation, DPS found the truck was driving west and came upon a left-hand curve at an unsafe speed.
Daniel Rivero, 20, of Athens, who was driving a Chevrolet pick-up, died at the scene. Passenger Jayden Mirana, 19, of Murchison, was taken to an Athens hospital to be treated for injuries.
