The Texas Department of Public Safety says a driver escaped injury despite their vehicle overturning on Tuesday morning. It happened shortly before 8:00 on Highway 63 West near County Road 82, commonly known as River Ridge Road, about 7 miles northwest of Jasper. According to DPS Sergeant Shana Clark, 62-year-old Brian Taylor, of Jasper, was driving a 2000 GMC SUV westbound when he lost control on the icy roadway. Clark said the vehicle went into a ditch and overturned. Firefighters at the scene said that Taylor received a minor injury to his arm as he was crawling out of the overturned vehicle.
