A utility truck used by workers to set utilities poles back in place and restring power lines following severe weather has become a victim of the winter ice. KFDM in Beaumont reported on Tuesday that the accident occurred shortly before 7:00 pm when the truck, which was traveling on Interstate 10, apparently slid on ice and fell off of freeway and onto the adjacent service road near College Street. Police, fire and other emergency crews were dispatched to the scene when it was reported that the crash had occurred. No deaths have been reported, but word is that some people might have been injured.
