Upshur County jailer terminated after accused of sexual conduct with inmate

GILMER, Texas (KLTV) - A jailer has been fired and arrested after the sheriff’s office investigated improper conduct allegations made by an inmate.

According to the sheriff’s office, on March 31 Dallas Mosely, 29, was arrested for improper sexual activity with a person in custody, which is a second degree felony.

The sheriff’s office said that the investigation began on March 30, when a male inmate in the Upshur County Jail reported to jail staff that Mosely had performed improper sexual conduct with him. Mosely was immediately suspended from duty pending the investigation.

On March 31, Mosely was terminated from employment and arrested. He was booked into the Upshur County Jail and his bond was set at $100,000.
