Two men are in custody after a law enforcement pursuit in Orange County on Monday afternoon that reached speeds in excess of 100-miles-per-hour. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department says it began when a deputy tried to stop a Cadillac SUV at the intersection of Highways 62 and 87, but instead the driver took off. The chase finally ended when the suspects went off the pavement and got stuck in mud at the intersection of Highway 62 at Farm to Market Road 105. However, the suspects refused to get out of the vehicle, so officers had to bust open the windows to unlock the doors and then drag them out and place them in custody. The pair has been identified as Roger Lampman, Jr., 36, who was the driver, and the passenger was Robert Wise, 31. Lampman has been charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle, while Wise was charged with Resisting Arrest and he was also wanted for another crime in a different county.
