UPDATED STORY
Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard said Tuesday afternoon that his deputies had located and arrested a man accused of stealing a battery from a piece of equipment. The crime occurred before daybreak Tuesday on County Road 222 in the Brookeland area.
A game camera captured images of the suspect using a dolly to carry the battery.
Havard said his deputies followed the tracks left by the dolly which took them straight to the home of the suspect, 22-year-old Robert Triola.
He was placed into custody and taken to the Jasper County Jail where he was charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.
However, Triola may have more trouble ahead of him. Sheriff Havard said deputies found stolen items at his home from other crimes.
