ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Authorities recovered the body of a man reported missing from a boat on Kurth Lake on Tuesday.
The Lufkin Police Department said officers, deputies, game wardens and sheriff’s office divers responded to a call about a man going missing from his boat at about 1 p.m.
The release says his boat was found in a cove, and emergency responders searched the area with rescue boats with drones. Divers later located his body not far from his boat, police said.
A justice of the peace has ordered an autopsy.
