Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark says two people were killed and another was injured in an early Monday morning head-on crash in Tyler County.
It happened at about 5:00 on Highway 69 just south of Recreational Road 255 in Colmesneil.
Sergeant Clark said Don Houston, 61, of Lufkin, was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck northbound and crossed into the southbound lane. The truck collided head-on with a Chevrolet car, driven by Marlon McDaniel, 46, and occupied by a passenger, Hollis McDaniel, 45, both of Woodville.
Both Marlon McDaniel and Hollis McDaniel were pronounced dead at the scene, while Houston was taken to a Lufkin hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
