NATCHITOCHES, La. -- A Marksville teen wanted in connection with a shooting that injured several people earlier this month has been arrested.
Natchitoches police said Zachary Shuler, 18, turned himself in at the Natchitoches Police Department Monday afternoon.
He was booked into the LaSalle Corrections/Natchitoches Detention Center on five counts of attempted second-degree murder.
The shooting happened May 1 in the Whataburger parking lot. Police said there was a fight among a group people and Shuler allegedly got a gun and fired into the parking lot. He and the injured victims left before officers arrived.
Natchitoches Parish sheriff's deputies made a traffic stop on Interstate 49 and found two gunshot victims in the car. They were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
