A Tyler County man is dead and a Beaumont man is criminally charged following a weekend crash in the Golden Triangle.
According to Beaumont Police, 24-year-old Jonah Watts was driving late Saturday evening on Highway 105 just east of Major Drive in northwest Beaumont when his vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a vehicle driven by Johnny Longnion, 51, of Warren. Longnion was killed.
Watts underwent treatment for non-life threatening injuries before being released to Beaumont Police custody. Police say he is now charged with Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault.
