Tyler County deputies arrest convicted felon on weapon and drug charges

Tyler County deputies have arrested a previously convicted felon on weapon and drug charges.

Sheriff Bryan Weatherford said deputies executed a search warrant at the residence of 52-year-old Christopher Tubb on Highway 190 just east of Woodville. Weatherford said inside the house they found eight guns along with a large amount of methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana.

Tubb was arrested and charged with one count of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, one count of Possession of Marijuana, and eight counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Justice of the Peace Tina Self set his bond at $875,000.00 and he remains in the Tyler County Jail.
