Jasper County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan said Tuesday that two suspects in that Sunday, April 23rd mass shooting just north of Jasper continue to elude capture. The two were recently added to the list of six that have already been charged in the crime, which occurred at an after-prom party on County Road 263. Numerous teenagers had left the Jasper High School Prom and had gathered for the party. Law enforcement said shots rang out and eleven teens suffered gunshot wounds. Although none were life threatening, some were said to be life altering.
So far, the following suspects have been arrested and charged:
Cameron Hartsfield, 19, of Newton
- 5 counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, 1 count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Tyler Porter, 19, of Newton
- 5 counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, 1 count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Tracy Hickman, 19, of Newton
- 5 counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, 1 count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Cheston Hartsfield, 18, of Newton
- 5 counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, 1 count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Terrien Shayveon Collins, 21, of Jasper
- 1 count of Failure to Report a Felony
Jacquis Tayshun Bell, 19, of Jasper
- 1 count of Failure to Report a Felony, 1 count of Deadly Conduct, 1 count of Aggravated Assault
