Two people shot following disturbance at Little Woodrows in Beaumont

Beaumont police are investigating a shooting that injured two people in the parking lot outside of Little Woodrow's in the 6200 block of Phelan near Dowlen. Police dispatch tells KFDM/Fox 4 the shooting was reported shortly before it p.m. Wednesday. Ofc. Haley Morrow said the shooting stemmed from a disturbance between three people. The two people shot were both involved in the disturbance, according to Ofc. Morrow. They were driven by private vehicle to St. Elizabeth Hospital. One was later flown to a Houston hospital for treatment. Ofc. Morrow says the injuries aren't life threatening. Police expect to file charges against the aggressor at some point during the investigation, according to Ofc. Morrow. About a dozen police units were on scene investigating the shooting. Officers put up yellow crime scene tape in the parking lot and gathered evidence, including shell casings. Police remained on scene for several hours. Little Woodrow's is a bar and club located in the Colonnade Shopping Center.
