Two people are now reported to be dead following that tragic crash that occurred on Tuesday evening on Interstate 10 in Beaumont.
The crash occurred where the roadway passes over Harrison Avenue, just south of the I-10 curve, backing up the northbound lane for well over a mile as emergency crews worked to rescue those involved and clear the wreckage from the highway.
What happened and other details have not been released as police investigate the incident.
Much of the traffic was detoured by way of College and 11th Street until the roadway was re-opened.
