Burkeville Fire Chief Charles Duckworth says two people were injured in a late Saturday morning head-on collision involving a car and a pickup truck. It happened shortly after 10:00 on Highway 63 at Farm to Market Road 1414. Chief Duckworth said one person had a serious leg injury and was flown from the scene by a medical helicopter to a Beaumont hospital, while the other injured person was transported by ambulance. The names of those involved and other details about the accident will be added to this story when they become available from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
