Two Hamshire-Fannett school students, who are also sisters, were injured in a Tuesday morning crash in Jefferson County. It happened shortly after 7:00 on Farm to Market Road 365 at LaBelle Road.
Hamshire-Fannett Fire Department Chief Justin Chesson says a 16-year-old girl was driving with her younger sister and heading to school when their pickup truck collided with an 18-wheeler.
Both girls were taken by ambulance to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. The 16-year-old was listed in critical condition while the younger girl’s injuries were non-life threatening.
The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the crash and we’ll update this story when DPS releases information.
