Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff's Department have arrested two brothers following an dispute or altercation that allegedly ended up with the two shooting at each other.
Officers say their involvement in the case came shortly before 11:00 on Saturday evening when someone called emergency dispatchers as the Jasper County Sheriff's Department and reported that shots were being fired at a on County Road 443, just north of Kirbyville.
Upon their arrival at the scene, the two men who were later identified as Azion Mahathay, 21, and Brayden Mahathay, 19, were arrested and transported to the Jasper County Jaile where they were at last word still being held.
Sheriff Chuck Havard said the two admitted to firing shots in the air.
Word is that Havard and others will be asking the courts to charge the two suspects with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
