An evidentiary search warrant was served Wednesday morning at the offices of Beaumont businessman Tom Flanagan in Downtown Beaumont. Investigators with the Beaumont Police Department are now indicating that Tom Flanagan, is a possible suspect in what is thought to be an arson fire that destroyed the Gilbert Building he owned which burned a few weeks ago. The warrant was signed by State District Judge Raquel West, and the affidavit was prepared by a Beaumont Police Department detective. The affidavit says investigators believe the fire was committed "for financial benefit".
