TIMPSON, Texas (KTRE) - A Timpson man has been arrested after shooting his cousin at a car wash Saturday night, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Capt. Cameron Nichols, deputies were called to a shots fired call at the Quick Stop at 674 North First Street at 9:06 p.m. Nichols said they found one man dead and the shooter, Jarrod Dukes, 40, of Timpson, was also there. Nichols said they arrested Dukes on a charge of murder.
The victim is Tommy Lee Bryce Jr., 45, of Timpson.
Nichols said the only information he could release right now is it is believed Bryce pulled up into the car wash and got into an altercation with Dukes and Dukes shot Bryce from Dukes’ vehicle.
Dukes is charged with murder.
