KTRE 9 News in Lufkin is reporting that there was about 4,100 power outages in Angelina County on Thursday. That area is served by Oncor, and the utility provider says that weather was to blame. Radar showed isolated thunderstorms to the north of here, while our immediate area experienced only very light showers. Meanwhile, further north there was a reported 814 power outages in Smith County, with 767 being in the city of Tyler. That area is also served by Oncor.
