GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB) - Two men from Texas were arrested on March 12 for allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs into Federal Corrections Institute Pollock by using a drone.
Michael Blanco, 31, of Dallas, was charged with the following:
- Possession of meth with intent to distribute
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Taking contraband into a prison
Sedarius Miles, 30, of Balch Springs, Texas, was also arrested and charged with the following:
- Taking contraband into a prison
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Possession of meth with intent to distribute
This makes the 11th and 12th arrests of suspects trying to smuggle contraband into this prison in 2026.
Just this last Monday, women from Texas were arrested for trying to smuggle in contraband using a drone with plastic crow decoys.
