One person has died following an auto pedestrian accident that occurred shortly after 10:00 on Thursday evening west of Jasper.
The details surrounding the incident are still unknown and State Troopers are investigating the accident that occurred on Highway 63, just past the intersection of Farm to Market Road 2799 and Curtis.
Firemen said it appeared the accident occurred as a late model Lincoln Navigator SUV was headed west.
The victim, who was transported by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The name of the deceased has not been released, pending completion of the investigation and notification of the next of kin.
