GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB) - A Texas man has been arrested for computer aided solicitation for sexual purposes and indecent behavior with juveniles, according to the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office.
GPSO said Jacob Alexander Branstetter, 31, of Bedford Texas, was communicating with someone who he believed to be a young girl and made plans to see her in Grant Parish. However, he was actually speaking with a Grant Parish detective and was arrested on the charges above.
“This case is an example of how powerful the internet can be,” said Sheriff Steven McCain. “Someone in another state was attempting to groom and lure a child for sexual reasons in our community.”
