CHAPEL HILL, Texas (KLTV) - A school bus from Texarkana Independent School District was involved in a crash with another vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
According to law enforcement, the bus was occupied by the girls soccer team and their coaches. The bus collided with a van on Hwy 31 East.
Nikki Simmons with Smith County ESD2 said that one lane of Hwy 31 is shut down.
Kelly Bixler, Texarkana ISD’s Director of Communications, said the incident was a minor wreck. She said the girls didn’t have to leave the bus, and they will still play their game this afternoon against Whitehouse. Their families have been notified that it happened.
DPS is investigating.
