SHREVEPORT, La. - The search is on for whoever opened fire on a pair of teenagers early Monday in Shreveport's Mooretown neighborhood. One of those young men died. The Caddo Parish coroner has identified the victim as Anthony Vinson Jr., 15.  Police say the shooting happened just before 2 a.m. in the 5600 block of Jewella Avenue near Hollywood Avenue. According to witnesses, as a champagne colored, early 2000 model Yukon went past the teens, someone in the passenger side of the vehicle started shooting, hitting Vinson in the head. The vehicle, which then headed headed north on Jewella, was captured on one of the city's Real Time Crime Center cameras, but unfortunately, no license plate was visible. Vinson was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health where he died. This is the city's 43rd homicide of the year and it happened in the 71109 zip code. If you have any information about this case, call Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers at (318) at 673-7373.
