What began as a suspicious person call turned into a drug arrest for the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the report, shortly before 10:00 Tuesday night a deputy was sent to Highway 96 at County Road 239, about two-and-a-half miles north of Jasper, where a man was reportedly standing on the highway.
The report said the deputy found 41-year-old Jeremy Williams, of Jasper, in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Williams was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
