SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas (KLTV) - A man in Sulphur Springs has been arrested and accused of shooting someone in the leg.
Officers responded to Putman Street at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday due to a report of a person with a gunshot wound, according to a release from the Sulphur Springs Police Department. Authorities said they arrived to find someone who had been shot in the leg and learned the suspect had left the scene.
Turon Jenard Murray was identified as the suspect and located a short while later on West Beckham Street, police said. Investigation led to his arrest, and he has been charged with aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm.
The injured party was taken to a Tyler hospital by EMS and is stable, police said. Investigation is ongoing.
