Newton ISD Police have announced that two suspects in the theft of a school bus from Newton Middle School have been captured. Police say Cody Wayne Parker and Shadow Raven Hamilton were taken into custody at a house in Mittie, Louisiana, which is 23 miles southeast of DeRidder.
A security camera captured images of the pair.
The bus was later found abandoned in Merryville, Louisiana and investigators say they’re looking at the crime possibly being related to recent thefts of school busses in Vernon Parish.
Parker and Hamilton will be transferred to the Newton County Jail.
