Beaumont police have arrested a 19-year-old suspect charged with murdering a store clerk during an Aggravated Robbery and fleeing with a second suspect after stealing cigarettes. Police made the arrest only hours after the killing of beloved clerk Sheikh Abir-Hossain, 34, at the Kris Food Mart, 3090 Gulf, KDFM was at BPD headquarters to capture exclusive footage of Keandre Robinson leaving the police station for the trip to jail. Officer Haley Morrow says Justice of the Peace Naomi Doyle set bond at $800,000 on the murder charge. Police are seeking the second suspect, seen on the store surveillance camera armed with a handgun, wearing black jeans and a black hoodie that says “NERD.” KFDM/Fox 4 anchor/reporter Mello Styles was on scene and captured video following the homicide. On Friday, December 29 at 10:09 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to the Kris Food Mart, 3090 Gulf, for a victim of a shooting, according to Officer Morrow. When officers arrived, they found the store clerk, Sheikh Abir-Hossain, dead from gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation has revealed that two suspects entered the store and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. One suspect shot and killed the clerk before stealing cigarettes and fleeing on foot. Detectives have obtained surveillance video of the suspects. Morrow says excellent police work and numerous Crime Stoppers tips from the public helped identify Robinson and led to his arrest in the 1600 block of Delaware. The store video shows a heavyset man with dreadlocks entering the store armed with a handgun, wearing a dark jacket with a hood, carrying an orange bag. Suspect 2 is armed with a handgun, wearing black jeans and a black hoodie that says “NERD.” Police are searching for him. Anyone with information is asked to call Beaumont Police at 409-832-1234.
