SHREVEPORT, La. - Police have arrested a man following a road rage incident that occurred just after 7:30 p.m. Monday in the 6100 block of Line Avenue in Shreveport.
Investigators say Henry Bond, 51, was involved in a traffic dispute with another driver. Witnesses say Bond cut off the victim’s vehicle, forcing it to stop. During the confrontation, Bond allegedly pulled a gun and pointed it at the victim.
The incident escalated as Bond pulled into the parking lot of Superior Bar and Grill where police say he was followed by the victim. The victim quickly flagged down a Shreveport Police officer who was working at the location.
Bond was taken into custody and has been charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm.
The Shreveport Police Department would like to remind the public that road rage is an unnecessary and dangerous form of violence. Drivers are urged to remain calm, courteous, and respectful while sharing the roadway. Under no circumstances should a firearm be introduced into a traffic dispute.
