CROCKETT, Texas (KTRE) - Crockett police arrested a man after a traffic stop led to a car chase through the city.
According to the Crockett Police Department, on Monday officers attempted to stop a vehicle on State Highway 304 for several traffic violations.
Police say the driver, Josue Luis Delagarza, 23, of Crockett, refused to stop and drove away leading police on a chase through city streets.
Delagarza drove recklessly before turning onto a dead-end road and fleeing on foot. Officers pursued Delagarza and were able to catch and arrest him on Parkway Street.
During the arrest, CPD say Delagarza was found to be in possession of cocaine.
Delgarza was charged with evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and also had several outstanding warrants.
