Tuesday morning’s storm heavily damaged Alto Elementary School, peeling away sections of the roof, but fortunately no students or staff were injured. School officials said the students were quickly moved to an undamaged area of the building. Meanwhile, debris from the school building was scattered on the ground outside of the building, and a tree fell and struck a vehicle on the parking lot. There’s no word on how long the repair process may take.
