Stolen tractor found, other items still missing after Newton County crime

Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby says a stolen tractor has been found, but other items remain missing after the department's first reported burglary of 2023. According to Burby, it happened at about 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 1st at 1282 County Road 3102 in the Call Community. Burby said a Kubota tractor with a front-end loader and a bush hog, along with a Stihl 450 chain saw, electronic equipment, jewelry, and a large coin collection were all taken. According to Burby, the tractor and implements were found two days later stashed in a wooded area along County Road 3102, but the other items remain missing. Burby said images of the two male suspects was captured on security cameras. The only thing known about them is that they were wearing heavy clothing.
