ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A state document revealed drug overdose to be the cause of death for a Lufkin man who died in July in the Angelina County Jail. Michael Stolich, 46, was arrested on July 21 after deputies found him acting erratically in a church parking lot, appearing to be intoxicated. Two days after his arrest, Stolich was found unconscious in his cell. He later died of “acute methamphetamine intoxication” according to the Custodial Death Report from the Attorney General of Texas.
