SHREVEPORT, La. - Caddo Parish deputies arrested a Shreveport man Monday in connection with a body found near Ellerbe Road.
Investigators identified Bradley Weidner, 48, as a suspect after the coroner determined a male victim died from injuries inflicted by another person.
Detectives located Weidner at the Palamar Motel on Greenwood Road shortly before 6 p.m. He was taken into custody following a brief standoff.
Authorities charged Weidner with second-degree murder and illegal possession of a stolen firearm. He was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
The arrest follows a Sunday afternoon discovery by two fishermen. They found the deceased individual under a bridge near Gayle Red Bluff Road.
The investigation remains active.
