Two patrol cars sustained very minor damage in a short pursuit that began in Tyler County and ended in Jasper County. Jasper County Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan said it happened late Sunday night and began near Spurger, crossed over the Neches River on Farm to Market Road 1013, and ended on Farm to Market Road loos in the Magnolia Springs area in Jasper County. Duncan said the driver was a very old and very drunk man. He said once he stopped, instead of putting the vehicle in park he put it in reverse and backed into a Jasper County and a Tyler County patrol car. The name of the man was not immediately available.
