Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard and his deputies are investigating a burglary and vandalism that is believed to have occurred sometime Thursday or Friday at the Roganville Baptist Church located on Farm to Market Road 2245.
According to Havard, someone not only broke into the church, but also storage buildings located on the property.
Deputies were dispatched to the church on June 20 at 9:56 p.m., where they discovered that the chapel, fellowship hall, and storage units had been burglarized and ransacked. Numerous items were reportedly damaged and stolen from the property.
Sheriff Havard is asking for help from anyone in the area who might have seen or heard anything that might help in identified a suspect in the crime.
