The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department says a sex offender who was named in seven felony warrants for sex offender violations in the state of Alabama has been captured in Sabine County.
According to the report, Jasper County Chief Deputy Larry Pulliam and the U.S. Marshal’s Service Fugitive Task Force worked together to track down David Scott Mayberry, and he was located and arrested at a house on County Road 420 near Bronson.
The report said Mayberry had been on the run since the warrants were issued in March of 2020.
Mayberry was taken to the Jasper County Jail where he’ll await extradition back to Alabama.
