SHREVEPORT, La. - The threat for severe weather continues to hold steady for Friday. Scattered storms could fire up off and on throughout the day. All modes of severe weather are possible, with large hail and damaging winds being the primary concerns. The tornado threat is low but cannot be ruled out. The KTBS MEGA 3 Storm Team has the region under a Yellow Weather Alert. Early Friday, the National Weather Service Shreveport had the ArkLaTex under a slight risk of scattered severe storms. The NWS offers this advice:
- Stay weather aware as storm will be overnight
- Have multiple ways to receive warnings
- Know where your safe place is in the event you need to take shelter
