The Texas Department of Public Safety says a Kirbyville man, who was illegally driving an all-terrain vehicle on a county road, was injured when he took a curve too fast and rolled the ATV. It happened shortly before 4:00 Wednesday afternoon on County Road 4056 in the Bleakwood Community. Sergeant Shana Clark said 61-year-old Scott Hughes was driving the Polaris ATV westbound “at a speed which was unsafe around a curve and overturned.” Hughes was flown from the scene by medical helicopter with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
